A torn-up roofline after a storm isn't a "get to it next week" problem, and we don't treat it like one — Roof Repair Smedway answers, scopes the damage, and dispatches a crew across Clifford fast.
Before Roof Repair Smedway was a name on a truck, our foremen were already up on ladders across Clifford, MI, figuring out which shingle brands actually hold their seal through a rough season and which ones just look good in a showroom.
We don't treat licensing as a formality — it's proof that the person on your roof knows what they're doing and that you're covered if anything goes sideways.
We've replaced enough botched patch jobs from other companies to know exactly what corner-cutting looks like a year later — drywall stains, soft decking, mold nobody can see yet.
Documentation on request, no exceptions.
Storms don't wait for office hours, so our on-call line doesn't either.
No invoice surprises once work is underway.
Faster arrivals because we're already close by.
Catching a roof problem at the "annoying" stage is almost always cheaper than catching it at the "emergency" stage.
The earlier one of these signs gets a proper look, the smaller the repair usually stays; waiting rarely makes a roof problem cheaper to fix.
If the water coming off your downspouts looks gritty, the shingle surface is thinner than it should be.
Shingles that curl at the edges have lost flexibility and are more likely to crack in the next windstorm.
Pinpricks of light in the attic are an early, fixable version of what becomes a leak later.
Sagging or soft drywall usually points to sustained moisture, not a single isolated drip.
An unexplained bill increase is worth checking against your roof's condition.
Even a small missing section can let in enough water to rot decking in a single storm.
Not every call needs the same fix, so we scope each Clifford job individually instead of running everything through one generic quote.
Read through the categories and you'll usually recognize your own roof problem in one of them — that's intentional, since we scope calls the same way we've organized this list.
Downed branches, torn flashing, and wind-lifted shingles all fall under our emergency response scope.
From a few cracked shingles to a complete tear-off, residential jobs get scoped against manufacturer spec, not a rough guess.
Commercial roofs run different membrane systems entirely, and our crews are trained specifically on TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen.
We'll tell you honestly whether your roof needs a full replacement or just a targeted repair — we don't default to the bigger invoice.
Scheduled maintenance catches loose flashing and clogged valleys before the next storm turns them urgent.
Chimney crickets, skylight seals, and valley flashing are common leak points that general repair crews often miss.
Four steps, no surprises in between — here's exactly what happens after you pick up the phone.
After-hours calls still reach a live line for anything time-sensitive.
The inspection covers decking, flashing, and ventilation, not just the obvious visible damage.
An itemized estimate is delivered before any work starts, covering materials, labor, and cleanup.
Once approved, the crew completes the work to manufacturer spec and cleans the site before leaving.
We could list a dozen more reasons to work with us, but these six are the ones Clifford homeowners mention most often when they leave a review.
Being local means we're rarely the crew still driving in from somewhere else.
The number you approve in writing is the number on your final invoice, barring an approved scope change.
Crews carry moisture meters and proper fall protection on every job site.
Every job includes a written labor warranty separate from the shingle manufacturer's coverage.
We're not your insurance company, but we make that part of the process easier.
Our technicians explain their reasoning so you're deciding with full information.
Every job closes with a written workmanship guarantee, separate from whatever the material manufacturer already covers — if something's wrong, we come back and fix it.
We also guarantee the number on your estimate — barring a scope change you approve first, that's the number on your invoice.
None of this is a marketing line — it's how every Clifford job actually gets closed out, warranty paperwork included.
We stage crews across Clifford, MI so a storm hitting one part of the region doesn't leave the rest of Clifford waiting.
Because our crews already know Clifford's layout, we rarely lose time to a wrong-turn delay that out-of-area companies deal with constantly.
Coverage decisions are based on actual drive time from the nearest staged crew, not a fixed distance line on a map.
